Everything Changes

My last post was in early January, I restarted this blog becasue on Dec 12 God ignited my heart, so I felt that was as good of a time as any to start journaling the journey I felt God was begining with my family and I.

On Dec 12 I "randomly" was reset a fire into prayer and fasting. At that time I didn't know why but I loved it. I committed to the Sacred Charge and was spendng 2 hours a day in prayer and fasting weekly. God immediately began to press on my heart that it was a changing of seasons and everything was going to change in 2010.

Starting Dec 28 I "attended" IHOP's OneThing 09 via webstream. it was incredible, but mostly it was shocking and humbling when Everything Changes kind of became the "theme" for Onething09 too. This further excited me for what 2010 was going to bring. Oddly though with this excitement also came a sadness to see 2009 go. 2009 was one of the hardest and most attacked year of my life, but God was nothing short of Amazing. The grace, comfort and deliverance He brought through out the year actually made it sad to see our season of trial and turmoil end. I felt I was going to miss my desperate dependance on Him.

At this timeI strongly felt God calling me to leave my job at BoA. So, ignited with this new fevor and confirmed with and during Onething09, I applied to work at my church (Neighborhood AG) as the finance secratary. It was a major blow to my paycheck and resume' but I truly felt it was what God wanted for me. Once the interview was over I felt this huge weight lifted from me. Honestly, I didn't know there was such a weight on me beforehand. I knew then, that God was on to something BIG, so I got excited and restated this blog. Being that it was about 4 years out dated I figured the first post would just be a quick update of the previous years. (And that is the excuse I'm using for such a boring irrelevant blog post on Jan 6 when God was doing so much more)

That kinds of brings us up to arround Jan 11, 2010

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Hey everyone! Here we are again. Here we find ourselves spending our last Christmas in the US for at least three years. Wow! It sounds to crazy when we say it that way. Anyhow. . . I hope that you all had a wonderful time this Christmas. Things here are going well. The girls got entirely too many presents dispite our efforts to keep it calm this year. They start to get tired of opening presents after the first one. Its still fun though. Sam ans I tried to cook cornish hens for Christmas Eve Dinner. They turned out better than we thought even though we improvised the recipies A LOT!
Overall, it was a WONDERFUL day!

Our first blog

Hi Everyone!
This is so exciting! Our first family blog. I am not even sure what to write! Um okay. . .here we go. So, our life is getting really insane right now. So many things are happening and Sam and I (Dacee) got tired of people getting mad at us for not keeping in better touch. So, here is the ultamite family news letter. Everyone can keep up to date with all the crazyness with our life. Here we go.

December 16 I (Dacee) graduated Nursing School. I now have a Bachlor's in Nursing. I am so excited! I have to take the NCLEX (nursing state boards). It is like the ultamite comprehensive final. I will officially be licenced after I pass. Please pray for me. I am trying not to be nervous. In other exciting news, I got my official navy commission. I am Ensign in the Navy! How cool is that?!?

Sam has reeinlisted in the Marine Corps. He is still an accountant. He is going to school part-time for accounting and buisness. He is taking it slow because we have a big move coming up.

Okay- so. Out official move date to Japan is February 28. We are moving to Okinawa, Japan. There is so much that we have to do, and I am trying hard not to stress. We have to find a house, car, school and nanny. We can do this in 2 weeks right? It is going to be an awesome move. The girls are huge. They are so excited about Japan. They only know that there is a beach there, and that is enough for them. Talk about having Florida blood in them or what!

Okay, so that is it for now. Life ROCKS and God ROCKS! We swear to keep up with this. We will be good. . . . we promise!
